Please do not carry your baby facing outwards in any sling or carrier for the following reasons:

  • The back is not supported properly because it is being pressed against the stomach/chest of the carrying person (male or female) and is then forced into a hollow back shape.
  • The supporting cloth between the legs cannot be pulled wide enough, so the spread-squat position is not possible.
  • The baby’s head is not supported correctly either.
  • The baby can "look" forward, but the many impressions caused by this can cause overstimulation.
  • The baby is sitting on the lowest point of the upper body, so boys are then subject to pressure against the testicles.

Alternatively:
If you have a very alert child who cannot see enough in the Double Cross-Carry or the Wrap Cross-Carry try out the Hip-Carry. Sitting in the Hip-Carry your baby can look forwards when she/he wants to. You can also try out the Rucksack-Carry as an alternative.

Additional applications for the HOPPEDIZ® Baby Sling

The HOPPEDIZ® Baby Sling can also be used as an obstetric aid in the delivery room.

Here it can be loaded with a tensile force of up to around 700 kg. This result was determined by the Technical University of Dresden (Institute for Textile and Process Engineering) to DIN EN ISO 139434-1.

Baby slings are the most natural and comfortable way to carry your baby.
